To get a complete update Go to www.hillsboroughcounty.org/pgm  Then on the left hand side, click on PGM Store, thenclick on Enter.  A little box will show and ask you for a user name and password which are "public" and "public".  There might be ascreen with the word Java, click on it.  

After a few seconds, you will see some optionsfor Database Screen –

 

For accessing application files:

 

Under Database Screen, choose the second optionDocument Repository, double click on it.  A screen Document Repository —Query.  In the Tracking #, put RZ-110628 (application number) and click on query(do not press enter on your key board).  Click on the circle next to the filenumber and click "open". 

  


 

It has been recommended by one of our own that each resident prepare a letter of opposition to the Show Business Overlay Rezoning Application RZ 11-0628 signed and will add weight to the level of opposition to this rezoning from as many of the communities surrounding Tropical Acres, and outlying areas, as possible. 

 

The letter should be addressed to:

RE:  RZ 11-0628 Oppostion

 

It should start out with an introduction, like, "I am a resident of Colonial Hills, a community of 101 homes in Riverview, Florida.  

 

 

Please keep your points of reason for opposition factual, concise, relevant, and politically correct.  Some good points to consider including in your letter (but certainly not limited to), are:

  • Incompatibility with the land zoning as laid out in the Unincorporated Hillsborough County Community Plan for Riverview

  • Setting an unwanted precedent for arbitrarily changing the zoning to accommodate and eradicate long-term, illegal, code violations.

  • Setting an unwanted precedent for allowing this type of show business overlay rezoning to happen anywhere in the County if allowed in Tropical Acres.
